Today, 5 kilograms of bitter melon harvested from Jaya Molek Children-Friendly Integrated Public Space (RPTRA), Pasar Baru Urban Village, Sawah Besar, Central Jakarta.
These will be given to the locals and RPTRA administrators for consumption
Central Jakarta Empowerment Child Protection and Population Control (PPAPP) Sub-district's Pasar Baru RPTRA Instructor, Usmayanti said this is the third harvest after local residents started to implement urban farming at Jaya Molek RPTRA.
Bintaro Urban Village Starts to Carry Out Urban Farming"We harvest it in a great condition with length around 8-10 centimeters. These will be given to the locals and RPTRA administrators for consumption," she said, Saturday (3/2).
Her side mentioned, urban farming method provides many benefits and is very suitable for residents who are dealing with small lands. Thus urban farming method is also applied for other RPTRAs near the location.
